During the research the target group was 606 students of the first year from different faculties: 483 women (79,7%) and 123 men (20,3%). Methods. The study method was an anonymous standardized Pittsburgh sleep quality index questionnaire. This questionnaire consists of seven scales: subjective quality of sleep, time of falling asleep, duration of sleep, effectiveness of usual sleep, awakening, taking medicine, day disorders. The general index of Pittsburgh sleep quality, which evaluated the previous sleep quality, was calculated. The quality of sleep influenced on the students’ health. The study showed that education institutions have to enlarge a health style of living, including attention to sleep hygiene.
Tyrimo tikslas – įvertinti Vilniaus pedagoginio universiteto pirmo kurso studentų miego ypatumus. Tyrime dalyvavo 606 Vilniaus pedagoginio universiteto įvairių fakultetų I kurso studentai: 483 moterys (79,7%) ir 123 vyrai (20,3%). Tyrimo metodai.
