Abstract (en)
Substantial and complex rural areas in Lithuania create many problems connected to economytransformation and necessity to increase efficiency. The paper presents concise analysis of agricultural potential in Lithuania, internal and external factors and priorities of futher effective development. The main task of rural development is to create favourable conditions with governmental support for agriculture firms and local communities.
