Sausros poveikio Triticum aestivum L. (C3) ir Zea mays L. (C4) fotosintezei ir augimui palyginimas
Zevakinaitė, Brigita |
Darbo tikslas – ištirti ir palyginti vandens trūkumo poveikį C3 augalo paprastojo kviečio (Triticum aestivum L.) ir C4 augalo paprastojo kukurūzo (Zea mays L.) fotosintezei ir augimui bei šių augalų gebėjimą atsistatyti po sausros streso. Tyrimai vykdyti dviem etapais: pirmame etape tirtas silpnos sausros poveikis kviečiams ir kukurūzams savaitei visiškai nutraukus vandens tiekimą; antro etapo metu, po 7 dienų sausros streso, augalai savaitę vėl laistyti įprastai ir stebėtas jų gebėjimas atsistatyti po sausros streso. Po abiejų etapų išmatuoti morfologiniai (antžeminės augalo dalies ilgis, žalioji ir sausoji biomasė) ir fiziologiniai (chlorofilo a fluorescencijos rodikliai, santykinis vandens kiekis lapuose, fotosintezės intensyvumas, žiotelių laidumas, viduląstelinis CO2 kiekis, transpiracijos intensyvumas, vandens naudojimo efektyvumas) augalų rodikliai. Nustatyta, kad sausra didesnės neigiamos įtakos turėjo C3 augalams kviečiams nei C4 augalams kukurūzams. Sausra paveiktų kukurūzų morfologiniai rodikliai sumažėjo labiau nei kviečių, tačiau tik C3 augalų šis pokytis buvo statistiškai reikšmingas (p < 0,05). Sausra sumažino abiejų tirtų augalų santykinį vandens kiekį lapuose ir Fv/Fm, tačiau kviečiams šis pokytis nebuvo statistiškai reikšmingas. Kita vertus, kukurūzų fotosintezė buvo atsparesnė vandens trūkumui, nes kukurūzams buvo būdingas gerokai mažesnis žiotelių laidumas, viduląstelinis CO2 kiekis ir transpiracijos intensyvumas bei didesnis vandens naudojimo efektyvumas, lyginant su kviečiais. Po 7 dienų atsistatymo laikotarpio sausra veiktų kviečių ir kukurūzų morfologiniai rodikliai bei kai kurie fiziologiniai rodikliai (santykinis vandens kiekis, Fv/Fm, fotosintezės intensyvumas) reikšmingai nesiskyrė nuo kontrolinių augalų. Tuo tarpu sausra sukėlė negrįžtamos žalos kviečių žiotelėms, kuomet žiotelių laidumas, viduląstelinis CO2 kiekis bei transpiracijos intensyvumas išliko reikšmingai mažesnis nei kontrolinių augalų net ir po atsistatymo laikotarpio, o kukurūzų dujų mainų rodikliai atsistatė ir net viršijo kontrolinių augalų vertes.
The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the effect of drought on photosynthesis and growth of Triticum aestivum L. (C3) and Zea mays L. (C4) and the ability to recover from drought stress after re-watering. Researches were performed in two stages. In the first stage the effect of a mild drought on wheat and maize was analyzed. In the second stage, after 7 days of drought, the plants were re-watered to analyze the recovery. After both stages the morphological (height of shoot, fresh and dry shoot biomass) and physiological (chlorophyll fluorescence, relative water content, photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2 concentration, transpiration rate, water use efficiency) indicators were measured. The morphological and physiological indicators of wheat plants were more negatively affected in comparison to maize. Higher reduction of morphological indicators was observed in C4 plant maize after drought treatments, however the change was statistically significant only for C3 plant wheat (p < 0,05). Drought reduced relative water content and Fv/Fm for both plants, but the change was not statistically significant for wheat. On the other hand, the photosynthesis of maize was more resistant to water deficit as the stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate were considerably lower in maize plants compared to wheat plants. All morphological and some physiological (relative water content, Fv/Fm, photosynthetic rate) indicators reached the control level after the period of 7 days re-watering, no statistically significant difference was detected compared to control plants. However, water deficit caused irreversible damage to stomata of wheat, as the stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate remained significantly lower than control plants even after the recovery period. In contrast to wheat plants, the parameters of gas exchange of maize were able to recover completely and even exceeded the values of control plants after re-watering.
