Cellular data networks usage is rapidly growing in various types of transportation (cargo, passenger), agriculture and other types of industires using machinery. All mobile network providers in can offer high data transfer rates for various user needs, their used eqipment and applications. Depending on the setup of provider radio network, there is a difference how fast does the end user equipment in a vehicle gets a response form the network upon a first query and how that process affects battery power consumption. This can make a significant difference in transportation that needs real time data exchange. Within our investigation we analyse how different operators are controlling radio resources and what is the impact of their different setup on the equipment power consumption.
