VMU Receives High Scores in the QS European University Rankings
In the first-ever QS ranking focused exclusively on European universities (QS World University Rankings: Europe 2024), Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) achieved outstanding rankings: it was ranked third in Europe for the Faculty-Student Ratio, 30th for Inbound Exchange Students, and 114th for Outbound Exchange students.
“The majority of the University’s assessment criteria have improved compared to previous assessments. The strengthening of the university’s position is truly gratifying. This is the result of the sincere efforts of our entire university community,” says VMU Rector Prof. Juozas Augutis.
VMU also received high scores in Employer Reputation (160th place) and International Student Diversity (167th place). In the Academic Reputation category, the university was ranked 251+, while in the remaining categories, it occupied positions at 301+.
Overall, the university accumulated 29.5 points, securing the 284th position in Europe among 688 assessed higher education institutions and the 105th position in the Northern European region. Among the six Lithuanian universities included in the ranking, VMU was ranked third.
The University of Oxford (UK) secured first place in this year’s QS European University Rankings, followed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in second place, and the University of Cambridge (UK) in third place. An impressive 12 UK higher education institutions made it into the top twenty.
