The Unibuddy platform has become a good help for the prospective students of VMU from many countries of the world. Our ambassadors chosen from the students of all study programmes answer dozens of questions, give advice and dispel doubts about studying at VMU since February 2022 on a daily basis.

Anyone interested in studying at VMU can get answers to their questions by chatting with our students, staff, and alumni. You can discover more about study programmes, international experience, accommodation, scholarships, city life and so much more.

Currently the team of VMU ambassadors includes around 60 active students from 24 countries of the world. They consider the participation in Unibuddy project as a mutual exchange between the students and the university. Our ambassadors are representatives of their study programs and faculties and are always happy to help the future students with their choice.

“I know the feeling when you are going to another country alone and do not know anything, but then you can ask your buddy and she/he helps, so it is such a relief! I have been a buddy in my school, so I know how it works. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them. That’s why I have decided to join Unibuddy!” shares Alina Mutassova, Bachelor’s student of Economics and Finance from Kazakhstan.

“I have come to believe that the right information is power. I am willing to share information about my experience at VMU from the bottom of my heart. I have found that youths are aspiring for greater height in a developing country like Nigeria, but there is little knowledge of how they can succeed. I believe my joining Unibuddy will make lots of significance,” says Olumide Owojoba, Master’s student of Social Anthropology from Nigeria.

“I try to use every opportunity that VMU gives me. For me, this is something new, and I will be happy to do my best. I am sure Unibuddy is an awesome experience of communication for me. I will share my study experience with future students. So, I will be able to learn about people from other countries and cultures. It’s amazing!” says Ivan Borovikov, Bachelor student of Business Administration from Ukraine.

“I decided to join Unibuddy because it is a straightforward way for students to be able to receive accurate insights about the programs they are interested in. The prospect students can communicate in real-time with real enrolled students or graduates who are willing to share their stories. They get a broader picture of what they will live, especially if they are foreigners: student life may be different if you a foreigner abroad,” says Angelica Peccini from Italy, Sociolinguistics and Multilingualism Master‘s programme alumna.

“I remember myself before my study abroad experience started. I have been living in Kaunas for several months when I decided to apply to VMU. I was lucky to meet the current students and staff in person, see the university buildings, ask my questions, and dispel doubts. It helped me to make the decision about my studies at VMU,” says Ganna Tron, the Student Ambassador Manager of Unibuddy at VMU and alumna of Education Management Master’s programme.

We invite everyone interested in studying at VMU to get to know our ambassadors better
