Aquamatics
Description
The double diploma second-cycle study program "Aquamatics" uniquely combines natural and engineering sciences. The program is created to prepare highly qualified environmental engineering specialists who are able to solve theoretical and practical problems of water management, analyse and model natural water phenomena and engineering processes using the latest technologies and integrate knowledge from different fields.
The program is oriented to expanding knowledge and understanding threats of climate change and rationally evaluating/predicting ecological effects on the environment. The graduate will be able to offer practical solutions to solve climate change challenges by implementing modern digital modelling and effective monitoring methods for water and water environment protection. Upon successful completion of these studies, the degree of Master of Science in Engineering will be awarded.

Graduates of the study programme will become unique specialists in the water sector and environmental protection, capable of identifying solutions, assessing the causes of environmental changes, and comprehensively evaluating their ecological impacts on living nature and society.
Assoc. prof. dr. Rytis Skominas, Director of the Bioeconomy Research Institute at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy

The Aquamatics study programme allows students to expand their knowledge and, at the same time, to develop their abilities, focused on a sustainable and balanced environmental approach, preparing them for professional roles in this field.
Rolandas Morkūnas, The head of the National Association of Aquaculture and Fish Products Producers

A positive attitude towards the sensitivity of aquatic ecosystems, adherence to environmental protection standards, and the compatibility of hydraulic structures are essential paths to sustainable water resource management.
Aurelijus Rimas, Shipping Director of the Lithuanian Inland Waterways Authority
Partners

Studies are conducted in close cooperation with social partners. Students have the opportunity to visit companies, explore their field of study not only in academic and research settings but also in a business environment, gaining firsthand experience of the practical application of their studies and career prospects.
