Marek Chmielewski

Fr. Dr. hab. Marek Chmielewski is a professor of catholic spirituality at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Catholic priest, researcher of spirituality, mysticism, teachings of John Paul II and other areas. 
He has been teaching at the University of Lublin since 1988. In 1990, Chmielewski successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, Mystical experience of Mother Marcelina Darowska (1827-1911). Habilitated in 2000 on the basis of the hearing entitled Methodological problems of post-conciliar theology of Catholic spirituality (Lublin 1999). On 7 June 2002 he was appointed an extraordinary professor of the Catholic University of Lublin, and on 23 February 2016 he received the title of professor of theology from the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
Prof. Chmielewski is a priest of the Diocese of Radom, ordained in the Sandomierz Cathedral in 1983; the canon of the Ostrobramska Chapter in Skarżysko-Kamienna, where he serves as the Secretary of the Chapter. He spent five years doing pastoral work at the parish of Our Lady of Mercy in Radom, during which he held specialized studies in spiritual theology at the Catholic University of Lublin.
