Online Seminar on Gender Equality in Organisations
On Tuesday, 31 January, at 2 p.m., a seminar titled “Promoting Gender Equality in Organisations: Approaches and Practices” will be hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The seminar will be held online, and previous registration is needed. All registered participants will receive attendance certificates.
Prof. Dr. Natalija Mažeikienė, Professor at Vytautas Magnus University Faculty of Social Sciences, will be the main presenter of the seminar. Professor Mažeikienė is an expert in gender equality and is currently working on implementation of VMU Gender Equality Plan. The topics discussed at the event will involve gender diversity, women participation, and internal corporate governance mechanisms.
This seminar is a part of the Erasmus+ project “EQUBUSINESS: Gender diversity on corporate boards”, funded by the European Commission. The main objective of the project is to identify internal corporate governance mechanisms that support gender diversity and women’s voice on corporate boards in different cultures and find commonalities to promote them across countries. The project partners form a multicultural team with diverse backgrounds: Dokuz Eylül University (Turkey), Bursa Uludağ University (Turkey), University of León (Spain), Odisee University (Belgium), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) and ATWORKSOLUTIONS (the Netherlands).
