Dear incoming international students,

We hope you will have a great time at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas and Lithuania. Under the  Orientation Days, we invite you to join the “Sharing is caring” event and benefit from the DON@ project activities. All this we will tell in order of priority.

Firstly, thanks to the former exchange students and graduates who recently left the university and helped us collect 17 premade kitchen kits for your needs!

Each kit consists of several kitchen essentials, gently used or new: a big (middle or small) frying pan, a pot with a lid, three different plates, a cup, two spoons, a fork, a knife, a cutting knife, and a spatula.

You can book one of these premade kitchen kits here for free. You will get confirmation via email about your reservation and to keep further communication.

Note! These kits will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, which means whoever registered first will be prioritized. You can book the kit even if you are coming after the Orientation Days end.

Secondly, during the Collection Days in June, former students left a lot of things they didn’t need anymore:

  • Kitchen stuff (from cup to the grater, etc.)
  • Electronics (kettle, table lamps, etc.)
  • Study and leisure time items (sports equipment, hobby stuff, stationery such as notebooks, paper, pens, holders, etc.)
  • Household items (cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, washing powder; storage containers or boxes, buckets, mirrors, hangers for clothes)

That’s why we invite you to the “Sharing is Caring” event, where you can find many necessary things and curious stuff to settle down successfully and make your new place of living a second home.

Where: VMU dormitory No. 2, (Baltija), Vytauto pr. 71, 44321, Kaunas

When: Thursday, August 24, from 16.00 to 18.00

Why is it worth coming?

  • Join a sharing culture and save money!
  • Find all necessities and cozy things for your life in Kaunas for free (gently used or new)
  • Meet new exchange and full-time students and make a friendship
  • Leave less waste and make lower CO2 level
  • Treat yourself to refreshment drinks and cookies

When you attend this event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us: at ganna.tron@vdu.lt or yuliia.matiiuk@vdu.lt. See you!
