All VMU full-time degree students are welcome to participate in the competition. An exception applies for the last semester students and BA first semester students. The participants must prove a great academic performance without academic debts and academic hold.

Eligibility of candidates is decided on the following criteria:

  • Academic results of two previous semesters and average of them which must be not lower than grade 8. All students of 1st year of studies are evaluated by the academic performance of their first semester at VMU. In case the MA/PhD candidate is a 1st semester student at VMU – score of admission to VMU is evaluated.
  • Knowledge of the foreign language of the host country (not lower than B2 level).
  • Students’ motivation.
  • Additional academic, professional or social activities in Lithuania or abroad.
  • Priority is given to those who participate for the first time.

More information is provided in the Decription of Procedure for Award of VMU Mobility Scholarships.

After the final list of selected students is announced, candidates are contacted by the VMU International Cooperation Department (ICD) coordinator. The coordinator provides all mobility-related information and necessary documentation before, during and after the mobility period.

Selected students commit to:

  • Prepare and submit all application documents of accepting institution and do that in time.
  • Fill out the Request for a Dean (for bachelor/master degree students) or Request for the Rector (for doctoral students), collect the signatures via e-mail at your faculty with the help of the academic coordinator and send the document to the ICD Coordinator via e-mail Liucija.Zaksaite@vdu.lt.
  • Fill out the online Outgoing-Personal Data Form - Study Exchange necessary for your Financial Agreement.
  • Indicate your bank account No at studentas.vdu.lt. Instructions.

  • Agree with the ICD Coordinator on the date for signing the VMU Bilateral Exchange Programme Scholarship Agreement. Please note: the scholarship agreement can be signed until 10th day of each month, and the scholarship can be transferred at the end of that month.

At the end of mobility period the student has to:
