Most experts and students agree that one of the best parts of university studies is the chance to study abroad: it is an exciting opportunity to broaden one’s knowledge in an international environment, explore a foreign culture, learn languages and find new friends. University students, high school pupils, their parents and everyone interested is invited to explore these possibilities at the Education Fair in Astana on Thursday, April 26th.

The event will introduce a diverse assortment of scholarships, exchange programmes and other opportunities in Europe offered by higher education institutions in Lithuania, a European Union member state. The Education Fair is organized by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in Kaunas, Lithuania in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Kazakhstan Aleksandras Stulginskis University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Vilnius University.

“Our university has been strongly focused on developing international networks and intercultural dialogues, promoting cooperation and tolerance. The European University Association (EUA) has recognized VMU for its liberal arts profile, student and employee mobility, and horizontal decision-making culture. We are also the leading Baltic university in international academic staff and a top Lithuanian institution in terms of internationality and scientific activities”, VMU Rector Prof. Juozas Augutis explained.

Lithuania, the home country of Vytautas Magnus University, has developed a unique culture which encompasses both deep respect for traditions and a robust wish to learn and innovate. The Northern European state offers high-quality studies and worldwide recognised diploma. About 90 percent of the Lithuanian population speak one foreign language, the most popular of them are English and Russian.
