Vesta

Vesta is a club of the students of social work which was founded in September 2010.

Goals

• to encourage activities of the social work students, develop their professional and personal consciousness
• to elicit the students’ more active communication and collaboration with the VMU community, specialists and practicians of social work, the Alumni, etc.
• provide conditions for social work students to exchange professional experience and enrich it
• discuss relevant questions and prepare in various ways for work in the studied field

Activities

Organisation of conferences, seminars, discussions and training courses; collection and distribution of information on social, economic, legal, cultural and youth life in various countries, etc.

Membership

Individuals studying social work at Vytautas Magnus University are eligible for membership in the club Vesta, as well as students of other programmes interested in social problems and their solutions in the society. Graduates of social work and other study programmes can also join.
