Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club
The Miguel de Cervantes Club seeks to popularize the Spanish language and culture and to introduce people to everything that is so fascinating about the South: the history, literature, music, dance, customs and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries.
The club was founded on 18 April 2011 as the Pablo Neruda Club. The club’s opening event presented the Spanish traditions of celebrating the Holy Week (La Semana Santa). In autumn 2011, the club was renamed after Miguel Cervantes and became an official club at VMU.
There are 30 members in the club at the moment. It is open to everyone who loves Spanish culture, and gladly accepts members from VMU and elsewhere.
