dc.description.abstractEnvironmental education is very closely related to a person, his actions and nature. This is an important factor affecting sustainable development. Ecological culture can be integrated into all subjects, especially suitable for technology lessons. Pupils’ provisions is formed teenage period, therefore, as survey respondents I have chosen the ninth grade. The subject matter – the eco-cultural education in grades 9 through technology lessons. The aim – to investigate ecological culture education in grades 9 through technology lessons. The tasks: 1) To investigate the students’ of grades 9 provisions into an ecological culture and the actions revealing them; 2) To determine technology teachers’ attitudes and the opportunities to develop ecological culture for students of grades 9. The methods used: a questionnaire survey of students, analysis of documents, semi-structured interviews, scientific literature sources analysis and summary. The main results of the study suggest that the ecological culture is understood as one of the most important components of the general culture of humanity. Students’ education of ecological culture in Lithuanian general education schools carried out by integrated program of sustainable development, integrated program of consumer culture. Students often use the provisions to conserve natural resources and protect the environment. More than half of pupils of nine-grade students consumed sparingly, eat healthily, choose eco-friendly product, sorts waste and evaluate whether to buy advertised product. Teachers often integrate sustainable consumption, environmental protection and health topics through technology lessons.
