Švietimo ir mokslo ministro patvirtinta nauja grafinio dizaino bendroji programa skirta besimokantiems pagal viduriniojo ugdymo programą, todėl atsiranda būtinybė nagrinėti šį dalyką aktualinančius veiksnius ne tik teorinėje, bet ir praktinėje ugdymo plotmėje siekiant atskleisti ugdymo procesų organizatorių – dailės mokytojų – požiūrį į grafinio dizaino įtaką asmenybės ugdymui, jo teikiamų įgūdžių naudą ir (kas itin aktualu šiandieninės materialinės bazės sąlygomis) į veiksnius, lemiančius mokymo ypatumus.
Choosing graphic design exercises as the most important element, most of the teachers indicated the factor of interest and originality, the connection with adaptability and the interest of pupils. According to the importance means were found only in fourth place which shows that graphic design as art is understood in a broad sense, not just as a kind of art that is created using digital technologies. All this helped to highlight the fact that graphic design teaching is actualized by not only its technological accomplishment but also artistry, practical adaptability.
The minister of education has ratified a new graphic design program for pupils using secondary education program, therefore it becomes important to analyse the factors actualizing this phenomenon not only in the theoretical but also in the practical education range by way of revealing the educational process organizers’- art teachers’ attitude towards graphic design influence on the personality education, the benefit of gained skills and factors influencing teaching peculiarities which is really relevant in today’s circumstances of material facilities. The aim of the research is to find out factors actualizing teaching and learning graphic design during art lessons. Research organization. Trying to reveal the factors actualizing teaching and learning graphic design a declarative research was organized by surveying 64 art teachers working with eleventh and twelfth form pupils at schools in Vilnius, Kaišiadoriai and Prienai regions. Research methods: systemic literature analysis, questionnaire (for teachers), mathematical statistical data analysis, comparative analysis. Under the circumstances of educational significance of visual culture graphic design is not only a means of person’s visual literacy that gives sense to modern technologies in the creative / artistic and practical plane, but also, as the research shows, it is important to versatile personality education , esthetic taste, thinking cultivation and spiritual enrichment. The research revealed that art teachers value and understand the benefit of graphic design skills not only in accomplishing artistic exercises but also in the practical spheres, such as official document layout, presentation preparation and the like. This data once more confirms the versatility of the impact of graphic design activity on personality, reveals its practical and artistic synthesis.
