The relevance of this research is defined by effort to establish relative effectiveness of creativity training methods according a special program created by the author of this work. It’ s the first scientific study in Lithuania what seeks to study the possibilities to enhance students’ creativity using special program. The purpose of this study is to reveal the changes of students’ creativity and investigate the possibilities to enhance students’ creative cognitive abilities using the special program Training methods. The special program of creativity training was used once a week for four months (32 hours). The program was made-up for the developing cognitive abilities of creative thinking (fluency, flexibility and originality). Special techniques were used to develop students’ creative abilities (which influenced different aspects of creativit – cognitive, personality, imagination). The experimental group took part in creativity training program. Assessment methods. In this study it was analyzed the level of creative abilities (fluency, flexibility and originality). It was assessed using Torrance test (verbal, form A). For evaluating own creativity, curiosity, originality and ability to create the ideas were used Dembo-Rubinstein method. Subjects. The total of 160 Vilnius Pedagogical University students aged 22-25 participated in the study (mean age 23). The subjects were randomly assigned to two experimental (n = 80) and control groups (n = 80). The comparative analysis between experimental and control groups of all cognitive parameters of creativity (fluency, flexibility and originality) evaluated by Torrance test (TTCT, verbal A form) as well as subjective evaluations of one's own creativity by Dembo-Rubinstein test has showed that the special program created by the author of this research was effective.
