Abstract: Experimental trials were carried out in 2015 at laboratory for investigation technological pro-cesses of agricultural machinery using the stationary tangential single-cylinder threshing unit contai-ning tangential threshing cylinder of 1.2 m in width and 0.6 m in diameter with eight rasp bars atta-ched to it. It was wrapped in the concave at the angle of 146º. Investigation was carried out in the threshing apparatus equipped with the concave having surface of 0.96 m2, out of which the active se-paration area amounted for 69.19%. The concave clearance was set based on the determined biomet-ric parameters of the corn ears used for the purpose of research (34 mm in front, 26 mm in the middle, and 22 mm at the end). Total 2 sets (II and III) of threshing cylinder filler plates (each contai-ning 8 plates) were produced for the purpose of investigation. Laboratory trials were performed at frequency of rotation of the threshing cylinder (450 min-1). The feed rate of corn ears was 8 kg s-1. The cylinder covering with the filler plates II positive impacted on corn grain separation through the first part of concave when compared to the filler plates III. Study showed that corn grains are less damaged, on the both first concave parts, when threshing with cylinder covered with filler plates III. The average corn grain damage in the first concave part, when threshing with filler plates II, was 3.17 ± 0.72%, and when threshing with filler plates III – 2.39 ± 0.43%, e.g. it was 0.78 percentage points lower
