There is a big choice of fruits and berries in Lithuania, so customers can choose fruits with good chemical composition. Fruits of kolomikta aktinidia are known to have a big amount of ascorbic acid. Kolomikta aktinidia are seasonal fruits, but they can only be kept for about two weeks, so they must be preserved i.e. by freezing, drying, etc. If we want to keep fruits for longer they need to be kept inspecial storage chambers with modified atmosphere. The aim of this study was to evaluate chemical composition of kolomikta aktinidia fruits during 10-week storagein chambers with modified atmosphere. The findings of the study are the following. The biggest amount of ascorbic acid was foundin harvested fruits. Amount of ascorbic acid decreased in the fruits during storage. Furthermore, the amount of soluble solids and dry matters increased in kolomikta aktinidia fruits during 10-week storage in chambers with modified atmosphereen
