Abstract: Trough the year 2013-10-2014-01 months, at Aleksandras Stulginskis University and at farm of Jonuskai a research was done on how chemical inhibitor influence the quality of potato tubers. The aim of the study was to determine the response of potato cultivars ‘Venta‘ with chemical inhibitor - Kielek 01 DP. The potato were stored at temperature of +10 ºC and 80 percentage relative humidy for 3 months. The tests showed that the treatment of the row material with chemical inhibitor had a positive effect on dry matter and starch content after 3 months. The dry matter was 34 percentage lower. Starch was 24 percentage lower. The tests showed positive resultats in potato tubers germinations. The reduction of their content was point 3.5lower
