Abstract
As a matter of fact, large quantities of manure accumulate in large-scale livestock farms. The spread of manure on fields affects the surface water as a diffused pollution. There are some cases when farms spread manure on the same field areas annually due to high transport costs. The danger is that fields may become over-fertilized and many nutrients ma; be u ashed out into the environment. The fields are fertilised by limiting the amount of nutrients in terms of nitrogen. As a result, depending on manure composition, the levels of phosphorus in these fields differ every year. The research was carried out to determine the changes of phosphorus in drainage water, after annual field fertilization with manure from large-scale livestock farms. The scheme of investigation consists of two variants: the manure-fertilized and the non-fertilized field. The research was carried out in drained areas. Sandy soils in the 0-40 cm layer were of medium-humus to humus, mineral nitrogen levels in the 0-60 cm soil layer fluctuated from I and V nitrogen groups and had moderate, high, and very high phosphors levels. The research has shown that each year the fields that were fertilized by manure had increased P2O5 resources in the soil by 2.2 times compared with unfertilized fields. These resources were depended on fertilisation rate. However, Pt01 concentrations in the drainage water were determined to be low because of low phosphorus dissolubility in the soil. They were the highest at the beginning of drainage season.
