Abstract
The rainfall and runoff erosivity indices R were calculated using the data on precipitation and its intensity in 1992–2007, collected by Laukuva, Lazdijai and Utena weather stations of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, as well as data on soil structure and permeability in selected representative locations, obtained from other institutions. The Žemaitija Upland rainfall erosivity index R is 41.9, Baltic Southeastern Upland 45.7, Baltic Eastern Upland 48.5, the Lithuanian average being 45.4 ± 3.3. Soil erodibility coefficients (K) were calculated for soils of various texture in different zones of Lithuania, using the soil maps of the tested representative objects, available data on soil texture and humus content, and the USLE model algorithms. The lowest soil erodibility coefficients (K) were calculated for sands of the Baltic Southeast Upland (0.02) and the highest for silty soils of the Middle Lithuanian heavier texture (0.59). The slope length and gradient (LS) coefficients were calculated using the RUSLE or USLE equations: gradients and lengths of eroded slopes were determined using hypsometric maps or measured at site. Data collected by the Kaltinėnai Experimental Station of LRCAF on erosion intensity in areas under different crops were used for calculating the plant impact coefficients (C). The C value for black fallow was found to be 1, for hilled crops 0.87, for spring cereals 0.37, winter cereals 0.09, and perennial grasses 0.0004. We recommend to group the lands of a land user according to erosion intensity into five groups: a) completely affected by erosion (>70% of soils eroded); b) eroded areas prevail (51– 70%); c) erosion is largely spread (31–50%); d) erosion is moderately spread (16–30%); e) erosion is little spread (up to 15%).
Lietuvoje, vertinant dirvožemio erozijos intensyvumą, iki šiol daugiausia buvo remiamasi faktine, specialiose tyrimų aikštelėse atliktų matavimų medžiaga. Išnagrinėję Lietuvos agrarinių ir miškų mokslų centro (LAMMC) filialo Kaltinėnų bandymų stoties daugiamečių nuoplovos tyrimų aikštelėse rezultatus (1983–2000), įvertinę eroduotus plotus 14 tipinių objektų, atstovaujančių atskiriems regionams, bei atlikę skaičiavimus pagal empirinius (PESERA, USLE, RUSLE ir kt.) modelius, nustatėme, kad labiausiai faktinius tyrimo duomenis (R2 – 0,79) atitinka pagal RUSLE (A = (R + Rs) × K × SL × C; čia A – nunešamo dirvožemio kiekis, R – kritulių, RS – vandens atsargų sniege, K – dirvožemio savybių, SL – šlaito ilgio ir nuolydžio, C – augalų antierozinės gebos indeksai-koeficientai) gauti skaičiavimo rezultatai. Turint šalyje išsamią dirvožemių tyrimų medžiagą, siūlome papildyti RUSLE modelį Lietuvos sąlygoms nuardytų plotų dalį dirvožemio kontūre įvertinančiu koeficientu – DE. Nustatyti kritulių erozingumo indeksai (R): Žemaičių aukštumai – 41,9, Baltijos Pietryčių aukštumai – 45,7, Baltijos Rytų aukštumai – 48,5, vidutinis Lietuvai – 45,4. Išnagrinėjus tirtų tipinių objektų dirvožemių žemėlapius, dirvožemio granuliometrinės sudėties, humuso kiekio turimus duomenis ir naudodamiesi USLE modelio algoritmais, mūsų sąlygomis nustatyti atskirų šalies zonų įvairios granuliometrinės sudėties dirvožemių erozingumo koeficientai (K), kurie mažiausi yra Baltijos Pietryčių aukštumos smėliuose (0,02), didžiausi – Vidurio Lietuvos dulkiškuose sunkesnės granuliometrinės sudėties dirvožemiuose – 0,59.
Panaudojus LAMMC filialo Kaltinėnų bandymų stoties tyrimų duomenis apie erozijos intensyvumą įvairiais augalais užimtuose plotuose, nustatyti auginamų augalų įtakos koeficientai (C): juodajam pūdymui – 1, kaupiamiesiems augalams – 0,87, vasariniams javams – 0,37, žieminiams javams – 0,09, daugiametėms žolėms – 0,0004. Kiekvieno žemės naudotojo plotus erozijos pasireiškimo požiūriu skirstyti: a) ištisai erozijos veikiami (eroduotų dirvožemių >70 %); b) vyrauja eroduoti plotai (51–70 %); c) didelio erozijos paplitimo (31–50 %); d) vidutinio erozijos paplitimo (16–30 %); e) mažo erozijos paplitimo (eroduotų iki 15 %). Pagal nunešamo dirvožemio kiekį išskirtos šios erozingumo grupės: a) labai didelio erozingumo – 100 ir daugiau t ha–1; b) didelio – 40,1–100; c) vidutinio – 10,1–40; d) mažo – 2,1–10; e) labai mažo – iki 2 t ha–1. Teritorijas, kuriose dirvožemių erozingumas mažesnis (1–2 t ha–1), laikyti erozijos požiūriu toleruotinomis (TER), o didesnėms už toleruotiną ribą teritorijoms siūlome ruošti su aplinkos apsaugos tarnybomis suderintus antierozinių priemonių planus-projektus.
Soil erosion extent is assessed by means of trials as well as using different mathematical models. In 1978, a universal equation – USLE – was developed in the USA for calculating erosion intensity. In 1991, this equation was improved and renamed to RUSLE. This equation and its modifications are widely used in the USA as well as in other countries. Assessment of soil erosion intensity in Lithuania is based on data obtained from special trial sites. We have analysed data collected in 1983–2000 in long-term experiments conducted on soil loss trial sites at the Kaltinėnai Experimental Station of the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture, and assessed data collected in eroded zones of 14 objects representing different regions. We have made calculations using different models (PESERA, USLE, RUSLE and others) and selected an equation giving the results that were the closest ones (R2 0.79) to the results obtained from experiments and eroded zones. It was a RUSLE equation A = R + Rs × K × SL × C (A – the amount of lost soil, coefficients: R – rainfall, Rs – thaw and snow melt, K – soil properties, SL – slope length and gradient, C – anti-erosion ability of plants). Information on the properties of Lithuanian soils is abundant; therefore, we recommend to complement the RUSLE equation (for Lithuanian conditions) with the coefficient Dnuard indicating the share of eroded area within the soil type borders.
