Abstract: The seed preparation is a labour operation because in order to meet the standard requirements one must clean seeds several times. It is difficult to separate the quarantine weeds and the field for the special seed preparation is based on the natural biopotential and electric characteristics of seeds. For that purpose, the seed treeatment machines of the two types - a chamber type and a conveyer type - have been made. The criterions of grass seeds separation in the electric machines were obtained. The special grass seed cleaning from weeds with the electric machines increases the output of the standard seeds from 46 to 90%. During the special cleaning the fraction of the main culture is enriched by the valuable seeds where the mass mean of 1000 seeds is virtualy greater than that of the control. The germination of electrical preparation seeds increase from 2 to 11%
