Abstract
Interest in chemically not polluted food products and in bio-organic farming is rapidly increasing. Weed control in crops is one of the main chalenges in bio-organic farming. When crops are less weedy it results in higher yields and in the contrary, crops yields decrease proportionally with increasing of weeds quantity. Properly selected crop rotation is one of the measures of weed control. Though up to now there are no means (except herbicides) that kill all weeds on certain area. Farmers usually apply much chemicals for their agricultural procedures in traditional agriculture. Different weed control methods are presented in this paper and their effectivenes is analyzed using economical and technical data. One of the most effective indirect means of weed control is a whole-type sowing (in stripes) placing seeds evenly in loosened layer. Applying this method of sowing one can dexrease total mass of weeds up to 50-70%. Analysis of different weed control methods has shown that using new not traditional methods it is imposssible to damage nearly all weed in bio-organic. New methods of weed control are mainly used for crops drilled in rows. In terms of direct expenses and energy requirements thermal water steam, electrical weed control of flaming are much more expensive than weed control implements guided by local positioning system or ordinary herbicide spraying.
