Abstract: The paper provides the data on seed germination stimulation in the corona discharge field and energy content conveyed to seed. The influence of physical effect on seed germination is discused in the review of literature. Abundant experimental evidence suggests that methods of physical effect used at optimal doses have a positive impact on seed viability. Test were carried out with barley seed following active experimental planning procedures for three factors - field strenght, seed "lying-by" time after effect and seed moisture. In compliance with the standart methodology germination tests were done in four replications. Seed viability tests were conducted in two replications. Statistically-treated experimental experimental data suggest that the effect of electrical field in the first fraction of the electroseparator significantly increased seed germination. It was also identified that viability and germination differences between the seed in the first fraction and in the control were significant. It was determined that the content of energy conveyed to seed depends on the strenght of the electrical field and electrical properties of seed
