Abstract: The present paper provides an analytical description of comparative energy content, i. e. the content of energy that a particle volume unit receives when exposed to an electrical field of corona discharge. It was determined that the energy in the corona discharge field emerging in the seed due to polarisation of charge, does not have any effect on the comparative energy content conveyed to the seed. Comparative energy content was found to be dependent on the strength of corona discharge field, exposition time and electrical properties of seed. A strong correlation between comparative energy content of corona discharge field and seed germination was identified experimetally
