Abstract: The use of solar energy for air heating in production units is most often related to the equipment for radiant energy conversion into thermal energy. Various type of solar collectors, of which the most practical and efficient is the one without a transparency cover, are used for this purpose. However, this trype of equipment is subject to convective heat losses into the ambiente. Wind or precipitation reduces energy amount thet a user receives. It is of great relevance to identify energy efficiency of such a device under production conditions
