Abstract: Possibilties to use biodiesel fuel by-products (free fatty acids and technical glycerol) for biolubricant production were investigated. It was found that ferment preparations Novozym 435 and Lipozyme RM IM are effective biocatalysts for free fatty acids glycerolysis with technical glycerol. Product of glycerolysis process (mixture of mono- and diglycerides) as well as its 20 % mixtures with rapeseed oil have good tribological properties. They also meet requirements for biological degradation of biolubricants: during 21 days degrade 92.5 % of the investigated mixture mono- and diglycerides
