The demand for land consolidation as well as the reasons for the unexploitation of deserted lands are analysed as well. One of the reasons for the rise of deserted lands is the defects of land reclamation systems. Wet, starting to bog up soils are a big obstacle for their proper use. Another reason - low productivity soils. The third reason for the rise of deserted lands is the shortage and default of perspective farmers and agricultural companies able to lease and cultivate land.
