The noise problems are growing worldwide that affects the health and quality of life. The regulations and laws of European Union and Lithuania emphasize the importance of noise reduction, environmental issues, necessity to collect and disseminate information related to traffic flow, use of traffic flow mathematical models and their implementation for noise evaluation. In this paper, urban traffic noise is measured at streets and roads intersections that is characterized by high traffic flow rates and dominating noise at low frequencies. It is determined that the LA,, levels continuously decrease till the end of the green traffic signal cycle. Mathematical methods are applied to determine the noise intensity. The methodology used allows to estimate noise levels in a city using data provided by the automated traffic flow registration system.
