Abstract (en)
The study was conducted to determine the amino acid contents (histidine, isoleucine, and valine) of Lithuanian forages and compared with soya cakes (Glycine). Results revealed that isoleucine and valine was highest in sunflower cake (Helianthus annuus), followed by soya cake. Histidine was highest in lentils, followed by green beans and soya cake. It is concluded that soya cake can be replaced by sunflower cake, lentils, peas, fodder beans, lupins, vetch, clover and other forages.
