Abstract (en)
SWAP (soil – water – atmosphere – plant) model simulates vertical transport of water, solutes and heat in variably saturated, cultivated soils at field scale level and during whole growing seasons. Experimental soil moisture, irrigation, soil characteristics, soil cover and determined dependence for calculating of strawberry evapotranspiration with adjusted crop coefficients were used for adaptation of SWAP model for simulating of soil water balance in strawberry field. The modelling results have revealed that under Lithuanian climatic conditions simulated water storage in 0–30 cm soil layer coincides with measured ones. SWAP model is recommended to practice on soil moisture regime simulation in strawberry field.
