Abstract: Tribological behavior of steel - fluorooligomer (Foleox) system and regularities of interaction of the latter with iron are discussed. Fluorooligomer film is found to reduce friction torque and wear of seal elements, which affects positively the cyclic efficiency of fuel pumps. The effect of fluorooligomer on the tribological behavior of materials is attributed to carbide formation on the iron surface and modification of its structure
