Vaistinius augalus svarbu tyrinėti, siekiant pagerinti žmonių sveikatos būklę. Vytauto Didţiojo universiteto Kauno botanikos sodo vaistinių ir prieskoninių augalų kolekcijų sektoriuje esantys augalai svarbūs moksliniu ir praktiniu aspektu, tai yra mokslinė medžiaga studentams bei mokslininkams, todėl yra svarbi vaistinių augalų introdukcija, įvairovė.
Canada tickclover (Desmodium canadense (L.) DC ) belongs to Fabaceae Lindl. /Leguminosae A.L de Jussieu family. Searching analyse was done and diagnosed that in Canada tick clover are many compounds, such as volatile compounds, flavonoids and phenolic compounds. This plant is important, because plant operates antimicrobial, antiviral, Canada tickclover is antiinflamatory. Plant’s seeds more germinate when was applicable stratification, the more germinate was in the laboratory than in the ground. Spectrofotometry analysis shows, that phenolic compounds the most are in leaves, between phases of the vegetation the most phenolic compounds are in the butonisation and in the start of flowering. Gas chromatography – mass spectrometry method shows, that the votalite compounds are in leaves the most, less in blossoms, sterms and least in seeds. The votalite compunds variety is most in a plant‘s blossoms. Between phases of the Canada tickclover’s vegetation the volatile compounds are most in the finish of flowering, the volatile compounds variety is most in the contemporary plant’s intensive growth’s phases.
