Abstract (en)
The results of research of 25 varieties of astilbe, grown in Kaunas Botanical Garden of Vytautas Magnus University, are presented in this article. Astilbe introduction started in 1975. The tests of morphologica l – decorative features were made during the period 2010–2012. Decorativity of astilbe varieties was evaluated based on all decorative criteria: height of plant, colour of leaves and flowers, shape, density, length and diameter of in florescence and flowering period.
