- Phenological observation, quantitative evaluation of raw material of medicinal and aromatic plants of collections of Kaunas Botanical Garden of Vytautas Magnus University revealed that new species from foreign and local flora can be successfully introduced in Lithuania. 2. The results of our study showed the majority of medicinal plants grown in collections and expositions could provide a rich harvest of good quality biomass. Some herbal drugs might be exported to abroad. 3. Medicinal plants are sources of raw materials needed for pharmacy, phytotherapy and also genetic resources of Lithuania. 4. Lithuania has good growing conditions for many of medicinal and aromatic plants.
