dc.description.abstractLapių butinių atliekų sąvartyno filtrato ūmus toksiškumas buvo vertinamas remiantis biotestais su vandens bestuburiais. Filtrato toksiškumas vertintas ūmaus toksiškumo verpečių (Brachionus calyciflorus (24 h)) ir mikrovėžiagyvių (Thamnocephalus platyurus (24 h) and Daphnia magna (24-48 h)) testais. Nustatyta, kad Lapių buitinių atliekų sąvartyno filtratas yra toksiškas D. magna, B. calyciflorus and T. platyurus ir nustatytos LC50 vertės atitinkamai yra 17.9 %, 40.9 % and 42.6 %. Pagal jautrumą sąvartyno filtratui biotestai buvo suranguoti atitinkamai D. magna > B. calyciflorus > T. platyurus. Nustatyta, jog vandens bestuburių mirtingumas statistiškai patikimai didėjo, didėjant amonio koncentracijai filtrato tirpalelt
dc.description.abstractThe acute toxicity of the leachate of Lapių municipal solid waste landfill was evaluated using bioassays with aquatic invertebrates. Leachate toxicity was assessed using the acute rotifers (Brachionus calyciflorus (24 h)) and microcrustaceans (Thamnocephalus platyurus (24 h) and Daphnia magna (24-48 h)) assays. Lapių municipal solid waste landfill leachate was shown to be toxic to D. magna, B. calyciflorus and T. platyurus with LC50 17.9 %, 40.9 % and 42.6 % respectively. The applied bioassays were ranked according to their sensitivity to the landfill leachate as follows: D. magna > B. calyciflorus > T. platyurus. The attention has been focused on ammonium as a prime contributor to toxicity. The results showed that the mortality of aquatic invertebrates significantly increased with the increasing ammonium concentrations in leachate solutionsen
