Abstract (en)
Plants have to regulate the protection of their physiological active tissue when exogenous factors or other conditions change in the environment. Moreover, the endogenous constitution affects the chemical composition of a plant or plant organs. Even within an individual plant, the quality and quantity of metabolites may differ between young and old leaves [1], so optimal levels of biochemical defence are also found to decrease with age [2]. During the last decade, many studies have reported on the effects of UV-B radiation in several plant species [3]. UV -B radiation may induce leaf differentiation and senescence processes via modification of leaf structure [4].[...]
