Integral nature of learning, learning to learn and opportunities for students to improve their learning at university (competencies that ground any other group, including professional, of competencies) as prerequisites for successful lifelong learning both at university and beyond (in professional activity) are analyzed in this paper. Therefore teachers in higher education face the need to use new didactical methods, which are more focused on the process, and (desirably-progress) of learning, rather than merely on the results. It is necessary both to measure the competencies achieved, and also to monitor the level and the process.[...].
